Welcome New Rowers!
I want to row. How do I make that happen?
Dharma Voyage opens up the club to new rowers during the Spring each year. Please email newrowers@dharmavoyage.org or use the “Register for New Rower Orientation” button to get information on joining the club and an invitation to the orientation meeting, once it’s scheduled.
1) Attend Orientation: Dharma Voyage holds the new rower orientation session each Spring at the Westport Free Public Library. This has been an informative and valuable experience allowing our new rowers to get to know our rowing leadership team and get questions answered.

2) Attend Instructional Rows: Sometime after the orientation, you will be scheduled for two mandatory, instructional rowing sessions at Hix Bridge Landing. The dates and times will be reviewed at the meeting and you will have the opportunity to sign up at that time. Please plan to arrive a few minutes early for these instructional rows to check in and sign the required Waiver and Liability Release, if you haven’t already done so by registering for New Rower Orientation using the button below.
3) Become a Member: After completing your instructional row, if you are interested in joining Dharma Voyage, you’ll need to fill out the forms and pay $250 annual dues. We prefer you register for membership online, using the “Become a Member” button, but you may also download the forms and submit payment by mail. Payment entitles you to sign up for Adult Community Rowing sessions and Special Event Rows from May through November.
4) Register for a Sign Up Genius (SUG) Account: Once you’ve submitted the forms and paid for membership, your name will be added to the Dharma Voyage Membership List that will allow you to sign up for rows on SUG.
